Finding accommodation on a student budget

We are glad to assist you in finding accommodation possibilities, and can put you in contact with different on- and off-Campus student residences.

The public-sector student housing service is called the CROUS. They offer on- and off-campus residences at a reasonable price.

SIGMA Clermont has agreements with various private-sector housing agencies such as Stud'City, and our students can benefit from special tariffs. These student residences are all a short tram-ride away from our campus.

Another very useful resource is the national online buy-sell-rent-anything service, Le Bon Coin, where private individuals let out rooms and apartments (only in French, of course).

The CROUS propose 3 types of on-campus catering:

• Le Resto-U   A complete meal for €3.25, comprising a starter, a main course, cheese or dessert, and bread.
• La Cafétéria   A la carte menu: dish of the day, grilled meats, fish, various starters, mixed salads, pizzas, a wide choise of desserts, pastries, etc.
• Le Kiosk   A relaxed student eating area for sandwiches, paninis, toasted sandwiches, salads of different types, dairy products, pastries and desserts, hot and cold drinks, breakfast, etc.

There are also the SIGMA Clermont students' social rooms, le Fizz and le Cercle, where students can find drinks and snacks at breaks, at lunchtime and in the evenings.
